The biofiber board is made of 100% sustainable, certified wood.
A special feature of the biofiber production is the wet fiber process. During the process, the wood's own natural resins are dissolved and serve as binders in the board. as a result, there are no petrochemical additives in the board needed.The electrical and thermal energy for board production comes exclusively from biogenic and thus sustainable fuels.
Thus, due to the wet process, the biofiber has the best properties in the field of thin wood-based materials, these allow a wide range of applications

Applications

Important information about Fundermax Biofiber Standard boards
The biofibre board is an untreated hardboard with an unsanded top surface for indoor use. The formaldehyde content corresponds to that of natural wood.
The fresh wood for the production comes exclusively from regional, sustainable forestry. Sustainability is a top priority for us. The life cycle assessment of raw material provision, transport and production confirms our GreenHouseWarming potential of -1,612,50 kg CO2/m3. We are proud of our positive contribution to decarbonisation (no petroleum-based glue).
Due to the wet fibre process and the use of the wood's own resins, the following USPs result:
- excellent paintability, flatness (due to the high density and the very smooth surface)
- better punching and milling properties
- various types of sanding possible
- very good mechanical strength
- subsequently 3D deformable and more elastic (because only natural resins are used)
- highest water resistance in case of stronger moisture influences (e.g.: exterior doors)
Formats
The biofibre panel is available in the full format 5640 x 2150 mm (any cut to size possible) and with a thickness of 1.6 to 8.0mm (up to 12.0mm on request).
Notes:
- Raw cuts, sanding, special formats and special thicknesses are available on request.
- The disposal of the wood fibre boards is unproblematic. In principle, the country-specific laws and regulations concerning disposal must be observed.
