Star Favorit: melamine faced chipboards from Fundermax

With the Star Favorit panels, the product designation says it all: the coated chipboard panels are popular above all because of their diversity. From kitchen fronts to living room furniture to constructions especially for trade fairs and shop fitting: the applications are as individual as the design options. The special features of the Star Favorit product category include sophisticated differentiations such as various decors as well as surface structures or with aluminum coating.

  • The surface of the Star Favorit panels are free of nanoparticles, yet another advantage in terms of hygiene.
  • Star Favorit chipboard P5 is ideal for wet areas.
  • Versions with a building material class B1 are flame retardant and therefore ideal for areas where fire protection is a must.

FAQs about Star Favorit panels

Would you like to find out more details about this product category? You will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about chipboard panels in the FAQs.

The main difference is the core paper layers between the particleboard and the decor paper. Due to these additional core paper layers, the Superfront has a more robust surface structure than the StarFavorit and can therefore withstand higher stresses.

FunderMax Star Favorit Superfront are coated chipboard panels manufactured using the direct coating process. The double-sided coating in thicknesses of approx. 0.5mm (Superfront 0.5) and 0.8mm (Superfront 1.0) has the same structure as a laminate panel. The difference to an HPL laminate is in the manufacturing process. In Star Favorit Superfront, the coating is applied in a single operation. Depending on the surface finish of the coating, the technical values as well as the usage properties meet the requirements of EN 438-3 for laminated panels.
