The Technikhaus in the Styrian volcanic region: a place for young inventors and explorers

True to its motto ‘Tinker, build and create – We let you try out a whole variety of things’, the Technikhaus invites children and young people aged between 7 and 14 years to actively experience technology and craftsmanship. It's not just about watching, but above all about participating: exciting projects enable young explorers to experiment with tools and a wide variety of materials.

The focus of the Technikhaus is on ‘doing it yourself’. The practical work is designed to both foster creativity and teach technical skills. Participants learn how to use tools safely and imaginatively and experience how their own ideas take shape. Whether designing a model, working with wood or entering the world of electronics, the possibilities are endless and invite experimentation.
