Climate protection is part of our DNA, because wood is an ideal climate protector: It grows back and binds CO2 from the atmosphere. If we use wood in the form of furniture or as building material, the carbon is stored longer and with our wood-based materials it is like bringing a “second forest” into the house or on the facade.

At Fundermax, we are working to reduce our fossil CO2 emissions. 80% of our energy demands are already provided by renewable and therefore climate-neutral energy sources. But we are going one step further: We have set ourselves the goal of saving a total of 50% of fossil CO2.

In addition, our district heating supply from our waste heat directly reduces 42,000 tons of fossil CO2 from domestic heating annually in a regionally effective manner. This is not only good for the climate, but also for better air.
