Environmentally friendly production

The resource-saving use of raw materials is a vital part of environmentally friendly production at Fundermax. In the spirit of the recycling economy, we reprocess secondary raw materials into high-quality products.

In the production of raw chipboards, we rely on a mix of sawdust and quality-assured recycled wood.

Our compact board has a green core and consists of around 65% paper as a carrier material. We already cover half of our core paper demands entirely with recycled core paper, which we source primarily from our Fundermax subsidiary Ranheim Paper & Board in Norway, a manufacturer of paper and board products.

In addition, the Fundermax biofiber board consists of 99% fiber wood from forest thinning, which is not used in the sawmill industry.

We also use 70% of our own waste as quality-assured substitute fuel for energy generation.

Through the continuous monitoring of our emissions, compliance with our limit values and the state-of-the-art operation of the plants, we guarantee transparent and clean processes for all areas of our production.
