Sustainable energy
In St. Veit an der Glan and Neudörfl, we generate certified green energy (electricity and process heat) for our production facilities in our combined heat and power plants. At the Wiener Neudorf site, our 7,000 m² photovoltaic plant supplies environmentally friendly electricity through the power of the sun.
In addition to the generation and use of green energy, we also focus on heat recovery and the expansion of district heating. Currently we supply around 10,000 households in St. Veit an der Glan, Wiener Neustadt and Bad Sauerbrunn with district heating from our waste heat.
Through the use of regionally available, renewable energy sources and substitute fuels, we are independent of fossil primary energy sources, such as natural gas and oil, and make a sustainable contribution to the energy revolution.
We are working hard to make our processes and production more sustainable step by step. The aim is to achieve a 20% increase in our energy efficiency in the long term.
In order to constantly make progress, we are part of scientific cooperations and research projects.
